Ballarat Dental Group is one of Australia’s oldest established dental practices, able to trace its lineage way back to the 1890s. BDG was started by one W.E. Thomas who had branch practices in Beaufort, Ararat and Bacchus Marsh, who travelled from one to another in a smart horse and gig. Following several inheritances, the practice passed on to Dr. Peter Richards who moved and modernised the practice to its current American-styled (Kilpatrick) building at 11 Lyons Street North in 1965.
Dr. Rudy Jansen and Dr. David Goldsmith joined the practice in the 1970’s. Another change came at the turn of the millennium when Dr Han-Han Chung joined the practice with her husband Dr Tam Nguyen and also became partners.
With 7 dentists, 6 dental rooms, over 18 auxiliary staff and the latest technology, Ballarat Dental Group is well-equipped to deliver the best services and tailored treatment outcomes to our patients.
